OSCAR sends Christmas gifts to DE Hospital for Chronically Ill

Delaware State University’s OSCAR faculty and staff members transformed themselves into Santa’s helpers for the benefit of some needy residents of the Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill.

Located in Smyrna, Delaware, DHCI is a 205-bed facility established in 1931 that provides comprehensive, skilled nursing home services to Delaware residents who have no other care options.

The OSCAR elves generously prepared ten holiday gift bags to be distributed to residents who would otherwise not receive a gift. The Program Director of DHCI expressed her sincere gratitude for the generosity shown toward the less fortunate. The OSCAR Center has set a goal of distributing twenty gift bags to the Hospital for Christmas, 2017, a noble goal indeed.
