OSCAR Interns Present at 2015 DSU Summer Research Symposium

OSCAR summer research students attended the 2015 Summer Research Symposium held on July 30th in the Martin Luther King Jr. Student Center.

Seven undergraduates and two high school students who worked with OSCAR faculty on various projects presented posters of their research. OSCAR’s summer research program is sponsored by the Center for Applied Optics in Space Sciences and the Center for Research and Education in Optical Sciences & Applications, which are funded by NASA and NSF respectively.

Following the poster exhibition, Dr. Clytrice Watson, the Interim Dean of the DSU College of Mathematics, Natural Sciences and Technology, delivered a keynote address. OSCAR Director and DSU Vice President of Research Dr. Noureddine Melikechi also spoke at the symposium. He urged the students to always be inquisitive and to do their best in research and study.
